Welcome Home!

My parents came home from their three year mission in Spain and it was such a wonderful day and it was just great to be together again.

Pioneer Trek

Rob had the opportunity to go on a Pioneer Trek with the youth of our stake.  He went for 3 days walking in the heat and dust and wind to try and create a fraction of the experience that the pioneers had.  He was a captain and was in charge of 3 different families while they were trekking.  They pulled handcarts, slept on the ground under the stars, sang songs, and just had a good time.
Two of of neighbors, brothers Connor and Hayden.  They are also the boys favorite babysitters!
More walking. Rob at the end of the trek with the other captians that helped shepherd all the kids.

San Francisco

Rob and I took a quick weekend trip to San Francisco in June and we had a great time.  The weather was perfect, a tad cold but sunny and clear and we loved it.  We waved goodbye to our kids who stated with Nana & Grandad (thank you) and we were off.  We went to a baseball game it was Oakland vs. SF Giants and it was too bad it was played in Oakland but that is ok we met up with Emily & Ryan, who live there now, and had a great day.  It was great to hang out with them, we miss them, and it was a fun setting to sit and talk.  The picture of Ryan is him sitting in their condo which was fun for Rob and I to see.  When we lived in the Bay Area it was just empty lots with not much there, it has changed a lot.
I spent some time with Erika walking around the city and just enjoying the sights and sounds.  We then had a great dinner at Erin's place and met up with some of our great friends.  I love that we can meet up with friends we haven't seen for a while and just pick up where we left off.  I am so mad we didn't take a picture.  I really need to step up my game with taking pictures because I always wish I had more.
On our last day Rob and I spent sometime walking around the city and there was a Navy band playing in Union Square so we sat and listened for a bit.  Rob wrapped up his conference, the reason we went, and then we were on our way home.  We love visiting the place we met, fell in love, and then got engaged.  We will be back soon SF!:)

T-Ball

T-ball.  Jack's team was the Phillies this year and he had a great time.  I didn't take many pictures but I did at least have a group shot and one of Jack from my friend Jodi.  T-ball is a kind of boring, oh who am I kidding it is completely boring but as the season went on it got better.  Jack had a great time and that is all that really matters.  As you can see he is quite the slugger!:)
(He is the 3rd boy from the left on the back row, it is hard to tell with those hats on!:)

Dinosaur Museum

We headed down to Thanksgiving Point to explore the Museum of Ancient Life.  My boys have never been and our great friends the Smiths' invited us to come with them, and we had a great time. The huge T-Rex above greats you as you approach the building.
We saw a 3D movie that was interesting.
The kids put together their own dinosaur and they were so proud of it.
Playing in the big sand tables.  The water runs through it all and you are able to build your own habitats.  You can see Jack has built up quite the mountain of sand.  They loved this.
Cameron is playing with his friend Lincoln.  It was hard to get them away from this area.
They put on costumes and became pterodactyls.

This is one of the last things you see as you leave the museum it makes you want to leave quickly!!
We had a great time playing and having fun and the kids played forever in the sand pits using small paint brushes to clear away sand from bones.  I think we may have some paleontologists in the making!:)

Fathers Day

Fathers Day was a fun day.  Anyone who knows Rob knows that he loves his kids and he is a great dad.  We did our best to make the day a fun one and gave him a few gifts and the boys made some cute cards for him.  I hope he knows how much we all love and appreciate him.

His favorite gift this homemade chocolate cake!:)
