Growing UP!

So I can't believe that my little Jack Jack is almost 18 months! Jack had his first day in nursery at church on Sunday and he did great, I just hope that it lasts! This picture is just a funny one that I thought you might enjoy - and yes those are M&M's in the bowl, but don't worry I only let him have a couple.

Grandma Annie's Birthday

For her birthday my Mom wanted to go to the zoo with her grandkids, so those of us who live in town had a great morning at the zoo. We really missed Grace and Sophie that day!:) We saw the animals, rode the train, and had a great time. Happy Birthday Grandma Annie!

Cousins

Here are a few pictures of Jack & Henry. The pictures are of Jack and Henry up by the "B" in Bountiful, they went up there with their Dad's and Grandpa to ride on the ranger. You can see that the boys love to play in the dirt and climb on anything in site. There is also a picture in the bike trailer before a walk.

Let The Madness Begin

A few of the things that I associate March with are spring, daffodials, my Mom's birthday on the 24th happy b-day Mom, and of course the NCAA March Madness! My family has a tradition of placing a friendly wager on the tournament, well actually my Dad just puts cash up for the person who makes the most correct picks. My brother Garrett usually tries the hardest but never finishes well, my sister Ally picks her teams based on which ever team has the best, and somehow my Dad always manages to predict the big upsets. I think that this year I am going to have Jack help me make my picks - I will let you know how we do!:) Jack actually is very interested in watching basketball as you can see from the picture. Good luck on your brackets!

Certification Required

I enjoyed lunch today with a close relative of mine and we got started talking about necessary licenses that should be required, but aren't. Here's what he came up with:

  • Women should be required to get a license before wearing a bikini on the beach
  • MEN should be required to get a license before wearing a bikini anywhere
  • All Hollywood stars should be required to be spayed and neutered before they sign any movie deal
For my part I wish I had editorial control over the recent missionary in our ward who called his mom "hot" in his farewell and went into detail about why churros at Disneyland are the best in the world.

What other licenses should be required but aren't? Let's hear back in your comments.

Chocolate!!!

I am realizing that even though I don't want to I am passing on some of my bad habits to my son. Jack loves chocolate, it doesn't matter if it is cake, choc. chips, ice cream, or m&m's he wants it all. Lately one of the first thing that he wants when he wakes up is chocolate chips, and I think if I would let him he would drink diet coke out of his bottle. Maybe I can use this as motivation to cut some of these bad habits I have.

Jack Enjoying a Shake

Rob again.

Since you're probably not checking this blog to hear my pontifications about church I thought I better post a Jack pic so you'll come back in the future.

Here's Jack enjoying his morning routine. Yes, that's a handful of chocolate chips in Jack's hand while he's reading the paper.

Balls, Balls, Balls

Saying that Jack loves to play with balls is almost an understatement-this kid lives to play with balls. Last week we got him a little tikes basketball hoop and he is in love. He dunks it and also takes jump shots. He has this sweet new way of shooting where he kisses the ball before he shoots it. I bet he could teach Shaq a thing or two about free throws!:)

Hogle Zoo

The zoo in the winter time is the best. It was a sunny, semi-warm Saturday so we decided to get out and see some of the animals. We had great fun talking to the monkey, watching the elephants eat snow, talking to the cougars, and looking at the tiger. Jack loves the animals and we love watching him take it all in.
