Feeding the Ducks

We were heading out to Rob's parents one Saturday and I had a bunch of old stale bread so we decided to go and feed the ducks and geese that hand out in Sugarhouse Park. It was fun and Cam really had fun throwing the bread to the ducks. Jack enjoyed it as well but didn't seem as interested, he just pretended to shoot at them.
They were very close but never got too close. We just had to keep Cam from going in the water.

A fun afternoon, well a fun 30 minutes!:)

First Day of School

It is that time of year again, back to school! Jack is starting his second year of pre-school and he has been so excited we have been counting down the days. He is spending another year at Brooks Pre-School and he couldn't be happier. He loves Mrs. Brooks and was thrilled to be going back there. He is going 3 days a week this year which will help ease both of us into the everyday school that is coming.
Me and my boys.

He goes to school in the basement of this house, it is a great set-up.
I think Cam cried more than I did when Jack left for school. It was fun to have a morning with just Cameron, we will be having a lot of those this year!

My Cameron

I love this little boy. He is testing my patience a lot lately so I thought it would be good therapy for me to take a minute and write down some of the really great things about my little Cam.
He is talking so much now it is great. I love that he says "thank you" unprompted and in the right situation. He is also saying "love you" which is so cute. He smiles a lot and gives me this big toothy grin often. He love, love, loves animals and is getting very good at making all of their sounds. He has a big animal book that he carries with him to many places and it is starting to fall apart and he has only had it for a few months. He loves me to read books for him and anytime I sit on the ground he backs up and sits right down on my lap. He loves his brother Jack more than anything and it is very cute when he just follows him around. He loves his Daddy so much and loves to wave goodbye to him when he goes off to work and screams his name when he comes home. When he falls or is frustrated with me during the day he will often call out for his Daddy. He is a great little soccer player and even better at throwing a ball. He loves Elmo and watching Sesame Street. He really makes me laugh when he runs around the house trying to play Star Wars with Jack. He makes a great gun sound and has since before he could speak. He makes big messes and is trying very hard to be a big boy. No more sippy cup and doesn't want to sit in the high chair but these things are all part of growing up. I am so grateful to have this little boy in my life. I fell much better about him already!:)

Christiansen Family Reunion '11

A few weekends ago we had a small reunion with Rob's Christiansen cousins. It was a lot of fun to hang out and get to know them better for me, and it was great for Rob to catch up with his family. There were a lot of kids and that was great for Jack. He doesn't have any first Christiansen cousins yet so he loved playing with all of his 2nd cousins.
Thanks to Nana & Grandad for providing the great glow sticks that all of the kids loved playing with.
We played games on the lawn.
The kids had root beer floats.
We spent the morning at Pineview Reservoir and had a great time. Rob's cousin Beth and her husband have a boat that was great to pull the kids around on the tube in and they were great sports to do that. Jack didn't want to ride in the tube, but he rode in the boat! Jack also had a great time building in the sand with Grandad. We had so much fun I think we will do it again next year.

Pioneer Day

This year for Jack and I were in the Bountiful Pioneer Day Parade. Jack was able to ride and I walked but it was fun and thank goodness it was not to hot.
Some members of our ward built a replica of the Bountiful Tabernacle, which is where we attend church each week. It was so amazing and so well done. Hopefully it will stay on display somewhere permanently.
We had Henry for the night and the boys had so much fun running around with sparklers and watching the big fireworks from our back yard. Happy 24th of July!

Mrs. Cavanaghs

We took a tour of Mrs. Cavanaghs chocolate factory a little while ago and it was fun. Jack thought it was fun and really enjoyed the sample that they gave us.
Cam also liked the samples and even tried to eat the chocolate off the walls. Should I be worried?
Even though we went to a chocolate factory my boys ended up with big old suckers.

Googly Eyes

Do you think they come any cuter than these two??
