Slightly Obsessed

Don't judge me, but I have had a couple of obsessions this past summer. The most recent and one that I am not finished watching is Prison Break. Rob and I have finished season 1 & 2 and will keep watching. This series is a little rough, but very exciting to watch.
Friday Night Lights is also tons of fun to watch. This is just one that I have watched, and totally loved! They are still making these so I have something else to look forward to with this one.
If anyone is likes me and loves to watch TV series on DVD, these are 2 good ones to get into, and thanks to Netflix it is very easy!!:)

We Did It!

We have been searching for quite a while and we finally did it, we just bit the bullet, paid the money, and now we better get years of fun and smiles out of this thing!!:)
We are off to a good start in the smiles category. Jack loves the little climbing wall on the front of it.
This is the glider along with 2 swings that is on the playset.
Here is Rob and Jack and you can see the slide that is so fun.
And here we are underneath in the little playhouse. We are looking out the window and there is a table below so that Jack can serve all of his guests that come and play.

Jack's First Dentist Visit

Jack has been to the dentist office many times, given that his Grandpa Clegg is a dentist and that his Mommy worked for him for a while, but this is the first visit when he had his teeth worked on. He was a little apprehensive at first but he laid in the chair and let Georgeanne, the hygienist who has worked for my Dad for like 25 years, clean his teeth. She counted them, polished them, rinsed his mouth out, and even put some flouride on the teeth. Then when Dr. Hartvigsen, who as taken over since my Dad left, came in to check him he opened up wide and let him look around in his mouth. I was beyond proud of him for doing so well. He is showing off his new toothbrush at the end of the cleaning. He even has a smile to show off his shiny clean teeth.
Here he is with Georgeanne.
This is Jana who also has worked for my Dad for years!

The Missing Link

This post is for my Dad! When I was growing up something that we did on a regular basis was have to clean out the garage. A few years ago we gave my Dad a power washer for some occasion (a great gift if you are looking for one for your Dad) and his life has never been the same since. He calls it "the missing link" he loves it that much. I think he seriously considered sending it to Spain so he could spray stuff off over there. We are glad he didn't because it is very handy and we put it to good use this past weekend. We cleaned out our garage and I have to say, I love having a clean garage, well clean is a relative term, but it is better organized and the floor isn't completely covered in dirt.
Rob and Jack working the machine!:) It is pretty powerful and it was so funny Jack wanted to of course do it by himself, and it is too strong for him so he was holding it and it was completely turning him around. He didn't think it was that funny but Rob and I did!
The missing link in action!
Love you Dad.

The Smiths Go To The Cabin

We went up to the cabin for a quick but very fun trip with our friends the Smiths. We woke up Saturday morning to find this nice mommy and baby moose on the back yard just enjoying some time on the grass. We actually have a lot of moose around the cabin and it is fun to see them every once and awhile.
After playing some golf and croquet in the back yard it was off to throw rocks in the river. I think the kids could have done it all day. Here they are collecting rocks to throw in. They really loved throwing in the BIG rocks, but it was so funny, because they could barley pick them up and thus barely throw them in the water. Oh well, they were loving it!
This is one of those BIG rocks!
And just some of the fun throwing.
We let the kids take their shoes off and feel how cold the water was. I wasn't silly enough to do that but Rob got in on the action. Jack was crying it was so cold.
And here they are lining up for races. Back and forth, back and forth, so much fun.
We also played some great games of sardines, watched some football yeah Cougars, watched some tennis, and tried to relax a bit. We loved having Jodi, Casey, and their kids with us it was a great weekend!

Peaches Peaches Peaches

Here is a picture of the peach tree in our back yard. It is a great little peach tree that produces a lot of fruit. I have been waiting for them to get ripe so that we could eat some of them and can most of them!
Here is a pretty bushel of soon to be canned peaches.
And here are some of those canned peaches with my little helper. Rob actually helped me a few days later and we canned 12 more pints. I am excited to have these to enjoy during the winter months!

But Mom Grandma Is In Spain!

I have been gathering some items to send to my Mom in Spain and some of those items happen to be Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Well Jack found them today and pushed a chair over and tried to get into the box. I told him that we are sending those to Grandma. He looked at me and said, "but Mom Grandma is in Spain." Mom, just so you know there will probably be a couple missing, but I think you will have enough to give to your missionaries.
